Vocalist, percussionist and early Jazz historian Ali is equally at home with her beloved New Orleans trad jazz and Blues as well as with more contemporary flavours, and with such distinct vocal styling she inevitably draws comparisons to the most memorable of Jazz divas such as Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee. With a three octave range, crystal diction and effortless vocal ability, Ali loves to share the stage and revels in the artistry of her band.
