Chronicles from Peebles Briggate
with Julian Goodacre and Freinds

Step back in time to 19th century Peebles as seen through the eyes of local writer James Grosart. Grosart witnessed a period of great change: Peebles was a rural village when he was born in 1827 but by the time of his death in 1905 the railways had transformed it into a flourishing industrial town.
Using Grosart’s warm-hearted and witty reminiscences, Julian Goodacre and a small cast of actors bring events and characters of the town to life, giving us fascinating glimpses into the lives of real people from the past as well as insights into Peebles as it is today.
