Support After a Suicide Films

Suicide is a critical issue, profoundly affecting individuals, families and communities. By breaking down barriers, challenging stigma and raising awareness we can engage in open and honest conversations and create better cultures of understanding, compassion and support. This is exactly what a group of people from local Borders communities are doing by co-producing this new series of films. They are designed to raise awareness of this topic which can feel like the hardest thing in the world to talk about. By sharing their stories they want to illustrate the support received by bereaved families after someone has taken their own life. The culmination of four years of partnership working with Alchemy Film & Arts, After a Suicide Working Group, NHS Borders Health Improvement & Suicide Prevention and Police Scotland, don’t miss the chance to view this important series. This event is free to attend and open to anyone touched by suicide. Support will be available on the night through NHS 24 Breathing Space and NHS Borders. Use the link below to secure your space.
